Organic Land Care is “an ecological management system that promotes and
enhances biodiversity, biological cycles, and soil geological activity.
It is based on minimal use of off-site inputs and employs practices
that restore, maintain and enhance the eco system.” Developed by B.C.’s
Gaia College, this course teaches a guiding framework for sustainable
land care decisions and the practices and substances used in Organic
Land Care. It also prepares you to write the Canadian SOUL (Society for
Organic Urban Land Care) accreditation exam. This opportunity is ideal
for those who work in parks and recreation, lawn and garden, landscaping
