CLP Study Group

A full-day seminar with lunch included.
Participants must purchase study manual at least 30 days in advance. An option is included to write the Corporate Financial Management Module examination afterwards. Examination place must be purchased in advance.

3:00 – 5:00 p.m. Voluntary Option to Write Corporate Financial
Management CLP Module Examination
Led by well-known instructor Paul Doornbos CLP, attendees at this study group will focus on a better understanding of the Corporate Financial Management Module of the CLP.
Attendees will gain insights into:
• Core accounting principles
• Understanding, managing and evaluating financial statements
• Seasonal and cyclical business fluctuations
• Capitalizing and financial planning for their businesses
Who should attend?
• Any business owner or senior manager
• Current and renewing CLP candidates
Optional Examination
Any CLP candidate will have the opportunity to write the examination for Corporate Financial Management module following the Study Group. All candidates are welcome to write the examination, whether or not they have participated in the Study Group that day. Exam must be purchased in advance.
This Study Group will be facilitated by Paul Doornbos, CHT, CLP. He obtained his own certifications shortly after they were introduced and has since been a proud supporter of certification. He has spent most of his life in the horticulture industry and brings that experience in wholesale production, retail sales and landscape installation to the CLP modules he teaches.
Passionate about the industry and its continued development, Paul is an active volunteer at Landscape Ontario as a board member, committee chair and past chapter president, while also owning and operating Thornbusch Landscaping Company in Lansdowne, Ontario.
